Moving into the new house - Nate/Misty (9/07)

These pictures were taken right after Nate and Misty starting moving in so you will still see things unpacked and other things without a place. This will give you an idea of what the house looks like presently. Misty keeps the house spotless so it's too bad I didn't wait a bit longer to take the pictures. (I had intentions to get them on the blog sooner.)
The entry way stairway above and Adalei in her bedroom below. Isn't her little bed so cute? She lays in it and goes to sleep all by herself every night. She is really obedient and happy about it too.
It was too bright to be taking the picture below but this gives you an idea of the master bedroom.

The picture above is the master bathroom and the one below is the master bedroom closet.

The room above is for the new baby and also has a full size bedroom for any guests visiting.
The laundry room above. Nate picked up free appliances so let's hope they will last awhile. The laundry room is on the second floor so it's great for doing laundry but not so great when moving appliances in or out. The picture below is the upstairs bathroom for kids/guests. I think the decorating is superb in this room! Great job Misty!

The picture above is the temporary office or it could be the dining room. It is in between the kitchen and the living room.
The living room above and the kitchen below. There is a breakfast nook on the other side of the kitchen bar where the kitchen table is. Behind it is a sliding glass door to the big backyard.

The entry way at the front door above and the downstairs bath below. I think Adalei uses the little potty most to stand on and wash her hands. She is so cute!

Two shots of the family room - above and below!
Nate and Misty - what a great job on redoing the whole house with new paint and new flooring! It is beautiful! They have already had the house re-appraised and it is worth significantly more than when they bought it! That "sweat-equity" really pays off!

Adalei is 2 years old!

Adalei had her first birthday party for her second birthday. Two families with a total of three little girls were invited along with the grandmother (me)! Adalei had fun playing with her little friends. She even allowed Wendy to sit in her bed with her.

What a delicious lunch! Nate and Misty barbecued a wonderful treat! It was so good!

After eating lunch, Adalei opened her gifts. She loves bubbles and opened that one first.

Adalei was pretty fast at unwrapping her gifts.

She was more interested in reading this book than opening the rest of her presents.

What a cute little purse! Adalei was disappointed that it was empty. She prefers "real" purses with fun stuff in them.

My pictures mostly capture gifts that I gave her. This is a cute little tent that you'll see her in below.

Grandma Waldrum gave her a darling little Tupperware set of plastic dishes!

After opening the presents we had cake and ice cream. This is the part I could hardly wait for as Misty's cake is so yummy! Nate put her little doll Brenna in the cake for decoration!

Candles burning and ready for wishes! (Daddy blew out the candles!)

The first piece of cake goes to the birthday girl!

Adalei loves chocolate and wasted no time eating her birthday treat. The ice cream was cookies and cream because that's Nate's favorite. I think the cake is Nate's favorite too.

Adalei didn't waste time using a fork or spoon.....

Adalei got a cute little tricycle from her mom and dad for her birthday! She is so cute on it!

This is a picture of the tent.

San Diego, California - March 2007 (Casey/Jenna/Charity)

Charity and I had a fabulous visit to San Diego to visit Casey and Jenna. Casey had a winter semester internship with Deloitte in San Diego. The first night we went to this really fun 50's place. The milkshakes were a hit with Casey. And, he wasn't sharing!

We didn't know what we wanted to eat so the waitress just sat down with us and distracted us so it took even longer.

As you can see the waitresses were cute, lots of fun, and took me back to my earlier years!

So very, very good.....

There is nothing like the ocean in San Diego! It is beautiful and peaceful!

Beautiful!

What a view!

I couldn't believe how many seals were on the beach and in the water!

So cute!!!!!

Breakfast in La Jolla by the ocean! Great food and an awesome view. Jenna sure knows how to pick the places!

Mother and #1 daughter!

San Diego Temple in La Jolla, California!

Acres and acres of beautiful flowers! What a sight!

I have wanted to go to Legoland for the last 10 years. I wasn't successful in talking Casey into going when we visited San Diego while he was in high school. Fortunately, Jenna talked him into the visit and we had a great time - all 4 of us!

I'm sorry Charity has her eyes closed but she has a great smile! Everything at Legoland is made out of legos. This little photographer was so cute!

The giraffes were life-size - what a project with legos!

This was one of the rides at Legoland! This is my favorite picture of Casey and Jenna. I have a copy in my wallet so I see it often!

I'm getting hungry just looking at this picture. San Diego's desserts extraordinary was superb! We waited in a very long line and still couldn't decide what I wanted when it was my turn to order. There was so much to choose from but I had to have some chocolate!

We stayed with Jenna's sister (on the left side) and husband, Garth. Jaleen is Jenna's sister on the right side. Fruit tarts are Jaleen's favorite! I think it was also the lower calorie dessert. :)

I wanted a bite of everyone's dessert! What a perfect trip we had from beginning to end! I had a fun time!
