Butterfly Sunglasses and More of Adalei - June 2008

Cute little Adalei loves her butterfly sunglasses. Unfortunately they were lost in the Target store in Portland. If anyone finds a replacement, please let me know. These were her favorite sun glasses.

After the triathlon, we browsed and purchased some books at Powell's bookstore. I got Adalei a story about Charlotte's web. She loves that story.

She's so cute putting the bag on her shoulder just like grandma!

Catching Adalei running! She'll be running a marathon before we know it!

Adalei's pink cheeks from her allergies. She reminds me of her Aunt Charity with her allergies.

This is Adalei's bedtime bath for the end of the day. When she comes to visit me, she likes to take bubble baths. She loves to pour water on her head and play in the water. She is a clean little girl!

The house with liver and onions!

Look at Susan posing for this picture! She is so fun! I just love living near her. She is my #1 nurse. When it comes to needing care from surgery, procedures, etc., she is the very best. I even re-schedule my procedures so she can be there. Except for the appendectomy - that couldn't be rescheduled.

Randy's resting after a long day at work......

This is a pretty good picture of Rudy. This picture is mainly included for Casey's benefit as I know Casey misses Rudy very much.

Nate made a request for liver and onions for dinner for the last Sunday meal before Grandma Creek left. Look how happy he is with the liver and onions.

And, who was the good cook?

Randy was the main chef for the evening. I had to admit the liver and onions were pretty good. Adalei even loved the liver and ate quite a bit. That girl is definitely a meat eater.

Here's a final picture of my brother that helps me so much, my mother on the left, and my wonderful sister-in-law on the right! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Nate's First Triathlon - 6/11/08

Nate won his first medal at the Blue Lake triathlon on a chilly 50 degree day in June! He did great and the following pictures show what you missed!

You can see that most of the swimmers had wet suits on due to the water being colder than 50 degrees since the air temperature was just over 50 degrees. The swimmers had a different color cap for the different "waves" that they were in. (Nate is one of the swimmers without a wet suit.)

Can you pick out which swimmer is Nate? I couldn't but it is one with an orange cap. There were people watching to make sure no swimmers went down due to the coldness of the water. I was praying the whole time for him too!

Misty and I were so relieved to see Nate come out of the water. It doesn't look like there are any swimmers behind him but he made up time fast! He did great in that almost freezing water.

After swimming, Nate rode his bike and passed a few bikers on his way. He was always smiling!

This is a picture of him starting his run after dropping off his bike. He's still smiling because he knows this leg of the triathlon will be the easiest for him.

The finish line! Nate gave it his all and passed approximately 100 runners on the running path.

Nate was #1 in his "wave" for the running portion of the race! He's still smiling after the 2 hours and 35 miles to do the course. He only trained one day to swim and one day to bike. I thought he was impressive to do so well.

Misty is such a supportive wife! They are so happy together!

(Nate has come a long way since he started racing for Hunter Elementary School in Reno!)

Grandma Creek, the Great-Grandma

This is my mother. Grandma Creek to Nate and Misty! And, great-grandma Creek to Brielle and Adalei. We all call her "grandma Creek."

This was the first time grandma Creek had met Brielle and Adalei. Grandma Creek lives in Holden, Missouri and hasn't been able to visit us for 3 years. We hope she'll come back again before another 3 years.

This is our 4 generation picture. If Grandpap Crawford had been here, we would have had 5 generations. I'm sure Jason could get Grandpap Crawford in the picture - maybe some day! Grandpap Crawford is my mother's father. (The picture shows - Grandma Creek (70), me (50), Nate (31), Adalei (2), Brielle (6 months).

Here's my wonderful brother Randy with me, Adalei and Grandma Creek at Randy and Susan's house. We're all smiling and having a great time together.

Most of our time was spent talking or shopping for groceries! Randy always knows where the deals are!

Look at me and my mother! We match with our purples! I think we both like purple. So many people say we look alike. I don't think we do. What do you think?

Grandma Creek read with Adalei! Grandma Creek also helped Nate and Misty with their gardening.

We were all so happy to have Grandma Creek come visit. She was here 2 1/2 weeks and the time went so fast but we spent as much time with her as we could. She rotated between our three houses - mine, Nate/Misty, and Randy/Susan.

The Best Cube Ever!

What a wonderful surprise - I received some of Jason's fabulous photography shots for my mother's day gift! Jason amazed me by picking out my most favorite shots! The pictures are in order: 1. The skyline of Atlanta while Jason was at Georgia Tech.

2. A beautiful bridge in Spain.

3. California's beautiful coast......

And here's a peek at my cube - you can just imagine me sitting in front of the computer...... I have the best looking cube. A special thank you to Jason and Ashley for the great mother's day gifts!

Aunt Charity Came to Visit! (June 2008)

It was so fun to have Charity come to visit for the weekend! She helped me organize and decorate my house. It was a great weekend! I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful daughter!

Nate, Misty, Adalei and Brielle enjoyed visiting with "Aunt" Charity also. Adalei loves her blueberry yogurt. What a cute "smile" she has also. Charity, with Aunt Susan's help, did a great job of arranging the flowers in the vase on the table.

Cute Adalei and her Aunt Charity at bedtime.

Capturing a sweet moment with Brielle and her mom!

Brielle had fun with her
Aunt Charity also.

Aunt Charity brought lots of surprises! The cute pink matching boots for Adalei and Brielle were definitely the hit! They received some really cute clothes also.

An adorable little Brielle......

Adalei upside down being held by her dad! She loves it!

Scripture time at the Tanner house! Nate and Misty are starting the girls out right with a daily scripture habit!

We hope Aunt Charity comes again soon!
