Shopping, Talking, and Organizing!

Charity came up to visit me three days last weekend and we had a terrific time. We shopped, visited with Randy/Susan, and organized my kitchen! Charity was so fun! We had a great time shopping and I am so excited with some new clothes to wear. I had a great time from beginning to end and really appreciate her helping me to get my kitchen in better order. Unlike most visits, we didn't go out to eat at all. I did make roasted kale that was really interesting and quite like potato chips. We watched Cupcake Wars and the Miss America Pageant on TV. The time went so fast and I was really sad to see her go when the weekend was over. It is hard to live so far away from her. I'm counting the weeks till I go to visit again!

Happy New Year - 2012!

Well, New Year's Day found me in urgent care with two ear infections and pneumonia! I've been doing a lot of resting and trying to get better. I saw the dr yesterday and there is some congestion in my lungs still. He is hoping that it will be gone in the next few weeks. I just can't believe how I got so sick so fast. I haven't been this sick in many years!
