Audrey's Early Birthday Party - March 8, 2015

I spent Saturday night and Sunday with Charity.  We had so much fun.  Saturday night we picked up groceries for dinner and made a BBQ chicken salad at her house.  Then we watched the movie - Best of Me.  It was a good movie but we didn't like the ending.  It was a Nicholas Sparks movie I had been wanting to see since my birthday.  Thanks Charity for a fun visit!
Here's Charity holding cute Emme.  Emme is 6 months old now and just adorable.
Audrey just loves Minnie Mouse so I went over board in getting her Minnie Mouse birthday gifts.
She just kept saying "oh, my" as she opened her gifts.  She was so excited.  I was thrilled to have a little early birthday party for her since I won't be there on her birthday.
She's so cute.  She calls Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse.  Audrey will be 3 years old on her birthday.
She quickly put her Minnie Mouse gifts in the Minnie Mouse backpack - it has a handle and wheels so she can use it as luggage.  Thanks to Mo for taking me shopping at Burlington where I found all these fun Minnie Mouse gifts for Audrey.
Audrey was so happy.  I talked to her last night on Facetime and she said to come again and open more presents.  She makes me so happy.
Audrey was so good to share her craft Minnie Mouse supplies with Paisley and Spencer.  It was a great time.  Ashley made yummy peanut butter bars with chocolate icing for the birthday celebration.  We had a delicious salmon, asparagus dinner before the party.
Jason drove me to the airport and it was really fun to go in his sports car.  I love that awesome California weather!

Donut Dash and Benson's Party - March 7, 2015

I was so excited to go to the Donut Dash with Jason, Ashley and family.  Jason and Ashley had the kids in strollers and ran with them.  I stayed and watched the race with Emme.
The only donuts I saw were the ones around their necks!  Paisley and Emme posing for my picture.
 Spencer with his donut award.
They ran a total of 4 miles.  At the half way point the runners got 4 donuts.  Here's Ashley with Audrey almost at the finish line.
One of the race day photographers took this picture of me with Emme.  One racer yelled to me to push her in a stroller next year.  I think I'd like to do that if I go that weekend to Sacramento.  It would be fun and I'd love to get 4 donuts!  My goal for 2016!  Hopefully I can walk that far next year.
A picture of Paisley at the finish line.  The race was our morning activity and it was fun!
Then we went to Roseville for Benson's Ninja Turtle birthday party.
Jenna did a great job with the party.  The food was all centered around Ninja turtles.
Allison, Ashley and Emme on the swings.
The kids loved the food - mini pizzas, veggies and dip, chips, jello, fruit with dip, and blue punch.
They played pin the pepperoni on the pizza and everyone won a prize.
Cute Dalton had so much fun at the park.
This Ninja Turtle cake was impressive and also delicious!  Happy 5th birthday to Benson.
Dalton enjoyed his cake as much as I did.
Benson was so excited to open his gifts.  I got him some Legos, Ninja fruit snacks, etc. for his birthday.  It was so fun to be there for the party.  I'm grateful he invited me and I could go.  I sure love my grandchildren.

Friday in Folsom - March 6, 2015

Emme is such a doll.  She just jumps and jumps in this.  She makes me laugh just watching her.
Spencer had fun putting together Legos.  I was impressed how quickly he could do them and all by himself.  He told me he's going to be an engineer.  I asked him what kind of engineer and he said just like his dad.
Audrey just loves to play with Emme.  It's like Emme is her doll.
I had never been to the Folsom library.  It was really nice.  I was glad we could go there.

Jason and Ashley also took me to Peacock Indian Cuisine for lunch and it was so, so delicious.  I loved it.  Then we got take-out from an awesome restaurant in El Dorado Hills - Selland's Market Cafe - my new favorite place to eat.  It's gourmet food and so good.  I had a turkey and brie sandwich with a chocolate peanut butter triangle for dessert.  So yummy!  I want to go there again.

Benson's Birthday - March 5, 2015

I took Allison some of my old scarves to play dress-up.  She was so excited.  She kept hugging me and thanking me.
We (Casey and Jason and their families) went to John's Incredible Pizza for dinner to celebrate Benson's birthday.  It was a pizza, salad, and dessert buffet and fairly good.
The kids really enjoyed the dessert bar.
After dinner, we played arcade games and went on rides.  Paisley was thrilled with the tickets she won.
 Spencer playing a dinosaur game.
Benson and Weston played this game quite awhile.
Then Spencer took a turn too.
Paisley figured out how to play this game since she couldn't reach the pedals from the seat.  She did quite good.
Allison and Dalton were so cute.  They loved the carousel but my pictures were too blurry to post.
The kids (Weston, Paisley, Spencer, Benson, Allison) had fun on this frog hopper ride.  The roller coaster ride was their favorite but those pictures were too blurry to post also.
Allison was so cute climbing up on the game and putting the ball in since it was too hard for her to roll it where she wanted it to go.
Look at all the tickets Casey has!  (Not that you get much for them at the very end.)
 Jenna with Allison and Dalton.
Allison got this cute headband when they turned in the tickets for prizes.
What a cute picture of Emme with Ashley!
We had such a fun evening.  I'm so grateful I could be there to celebrate Benson's birthday with him.  I sure love my family.

Relief Society Dinner - March 12, 2015

We had a lovely Relief Society birthday dinner this week.  I thought this lemon beehive cake was so cute and it was delicious.

Vancouver Lake - March 13, 2015

I walked 2.3 miles at Vancouver Lake.  It was a cloudy day.

Charity's Office - Sacramento, California - February 20, 2015

I was so excited I got to see Charity's office.  It is decorated so nicely.  I loved it.
Here she is with her name on the door at LDS Family Services!  Impressive!

Roseville, California Visit - February 10-20, 2015

 Breakfast the first day!
Weston's art work on the patio.
Dalton ate grass, dirt, and wood chips.  I had a hard time keeping stuff out of his mouth!
The kids played so well together.  Weston was in school and missed the fun.
Benson made Valentine's cookies in preschool.
As soon as he came home, he wanted to share his cookies with Allison and Weston.
Weston also made Valentine's cookies in school.  Just like Benson, he wanted to share as soon as he got home.  I was so impressed with these boys.
 Dalton enjoyed his cookie.
Weston and Benson at the playground.
Allison and Dalton having fun on the slide.
 Benson posing for a picture.
Like me, Dalton enjoys his chocolate.
Jenna made strawberry floats for Valentine's Day for the kids.  They loved them. The straws were red licorice.  She is so creative.
 Dalton having veggie snacks.
I took Casey and family to Chick-fil-A for dinner.
Then we went to Menchie's for frozen yogurt for dessert.  We were excited that Charity joined us too.
Charity and Casey playing ping pong.
