Jason's Birthday Party - Folsom, California - November 2, 2014

 I was thrilled that Ashley decided to celebrate Jason's birthday early so I could be there for the get together and celebrate too.  The hard part about living far away is not being able to be there for all the birthday celebrations.

 Ashley made a delicious dinner - salmon, sweet potatoes, and salad.  I love that she uses the birthday tablecloth that I used when the kids were little.  It brings back so many memories.

 Jason, Casey, and Malcolm made a climbing wall in Jason's garage.  Benson reached the top for the first time.  They had so much fun taking turns.

 Birthday presents - I got Jason a soccer ball, 

 clippers, a phone cover, and some kindle books.  He seemed happy with his gifts.

 The kids were having fun watching videos and dancing.

They are so cute to watch.  I spent the night in Folsom and most of Monday before Ashley took me to the airport.  We had school drop offs and pick ups, and managed to check out the after Halloween sales at Target.  We had Indian take-out for lunch to celebrate Jason's birthday.  It was so good!  

I love my visits and it's always so hard to leave.  I'm grateful I can visit often.

Soccer in Roseville and Folsom - November 1, 2014

 I was so excited to see Weston and Spencer play soccer again since I was in town for Halloween.  Casey is the assistant soccer coach and does a great job.

 Weston is the one to the right of the ball.  His team won this game and we went to In and Out Burger for lunch to celebrate.  Weston had several assists and helped his team win.

 Charity took me to see Spencer play his soccer game.  (Jason is always in the background cheering him on.)

 

 After the soccer games, Charity and I stopped at Charming Charlie's (didn't buy anything) and Claire's where we found some great sales on Halloween accessories.  Then we went back to Roseville after stopping at Jason's and Ashleys' house for 15 minutes.  We got dinner at the Buckhorn Grill and some cream puffs from a new place at the Galleria.  We just hung out for the rest of the evening while Casey made a built in entertainment center.

Snow and Bryce - Vancouver, Mt. Hood, and Milwaukie - November 13-15, 2014

 We had snow, sleet, and icy roads a couple of days in Vancouver - November 13 and 14.

Yesterday Jeff and I drove up to Mt Hood and got to see more snow.  It was beautiful.

 On the way back we stopped in Milwaukie, Oregon (Portland) to have lunch with Bryce and his missionary companions (3).

Here's a picture of me and Bryce after lunch.  He was doing service so that's why he wasn't in his suit.  It was a fun day!

Washougal, Washington - November 9, 2014

Jeff and I took a walk near the Columbia River in Washougal near sunset.  It was beautiful.

Halloween - Roseville, California - 2014

 Jenna invited me a year in advance to come for Halloween and I looked forward to it all year long.  This was the best Halloween I had since Nate and Misty moved to Grants Pass.

Dalton and Weston were having fun early Halloween morning. 

 Jenna makes holidays so fun.  She made pumpkin pancakes with chocolate chips.  They were yummy!

 We had fruit that looked like candy corn - pineapple, mandarin oranges, and whipped cream.  She also made hot chocolate with marshmallows (that had faces that looked like ghosts).  So creative and delicious!

 We had a fun Halloween lunch - mummy hot dogs and banana ghosts!  I loved it!

 We went to Krispy Kreme for free doughnuts for being dressed up.

 Dalton and Allison had a great time playing together.

 Charity entertained them for awhile rolling the ball back and forth.

 Dinner was amazing - a veggie skeleton, fruit in an orange decorated like a carved pumpkin, soda drink with coloring in the syringe, and a spider chicken pot pie that was delicious.

 The kids loved their special Jack O'Lantern pizza.

 Charity, Malcolm, and Jason/Ashley and family were there so we had a big Halloween dinner party.

 Jason was kind enough to bring me a costume so I could dress up with the kids.  I had never dressed up as the Statute of Liberty before!  I also had my Halloween scarf with spiders which earned me a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme.

 We all had a great Halloween.  Thanks Jenna and Ashley for the food.
