Road Trip from Astoria to Tillamook, Oregon - March 28, 2015

Jeff and I started the day at the beach looking at this ship wreck at Fort Stevens State Park.  The beach is so lovely.
Then we went to Astoria to see the over 2,000 sea lions that had migrated from California.  The boats can't get on these docks due to the sea lions.
We had a delicious lunch - one of my favorites - at Bowpicker's.  The best place to eat in Astoria.
Then we drove down the coast stopping to see Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach.
We stopped at a view point on the way to Tillamook.  The drive was so beautiful.
We stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory to sample cheese and I bought cheese for my kids.  Then we drove back to Vancouver.  It was a fun day.

Cottonwood Beach, Washougal, Washington - March 21, 2015

My mother always said a robin was the first sign of spring.  There were several robins this day.
I love the Columbia River especially when the sun is shining.
It was so peaceful while walking over 3 miles along the river.
The beauty of the Pacific Northwest

Collin's Beach, Sauvie Island, Portland, Oregon - March 15, 2014

On a cloudy, windy day, Jeff and I drove over to Sauvie Island.
 It was peaceful and beautiful.
We saw this lovely tree on the way home.  I love the blossoming trees this time of year.

Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, Ridgefield, Washington - March 14, 2014

It was a rainy Saturday.  Jeff and I drove up to Ridgefield and had a fun time seeing the wildlife at the refuge.
I don't think I had ever seen muskrats before.
 Ducks swimming
I loved the blossoms floating in the water.
 Beautiful view
Canadian geese were everywhere.

Jeff and I went to see 40 acres of tulips!  They were beautiful!
The purple and yellow tulips were my favorites.
