Easter 2006 - Photo Shoot with Adalei Marie Tanner in Vancouver, Washington

This is Adalei's first Easter. It was so fun to make an Easter basket for her. As you can see in these pictures, she was more interested in the basket and chewing on the handle than she was the contents. Her first Easter eggs are bath salts so she'll be able to see them fizz and dissolve in the bath tub! Adalei chewed and pulled on the handle until it broke. I have until next Easter to fix it so we can fill it again. Next year it will have at least some candy for her to enjoy!
Adalei is 7 months old in these pictures. She is leaning against the diaper bag since she can't sit up on her own. Her balance was great and she sat there without falling for the entire photo shoot!
It was a special day to have Easter with Nate, Misty, and Adalei. We had a ham dinner and the traditional chocolate cake with white icing, green coconut (for grass), and multi-colored jelly beans (for the Easter eggs). It was a wonderful day after my Relief Society lesson that I taught on understanding death and the resurrection. I am so grateful that some of my children and my #1 granddaughter could come for Easter.
