Nate told Adalei she could have a birthday activity after her birthday. I was sure surprised when her selection was to watch him run a race. I never did hear the list of what her other choices were - perhaps she only had one choice?I can't remember how long this race was. I think it was 5k but I could be wrong.
I didn't get a picture before or at the start of the race.
These first two pictures are at the half way point and Nate was doing great! Near the front of the group and moving quite fast!
Checking his time..... He was smiling because he was doing really good........
This is the end of the race. Nate was pushing himself as hard as he could. The sun was so bright that I couldn't see his time but Nate or Misty can tell you what it was. I just know that he really did great. I didn't get a good shot of the actual finish line....He has his shirt off and it's just over his shoulders....
Now this picture shows you what a wonderful wife Misty is to Nate. After he crossed the finish line, he started throwing up. I gladly stayed with the girls and Misty went to give him some support. You may not be able to tell but he was throwing up as I took this picture.
It was just a couple of minutes and Nate was headed to the refreshment table for some water and something to eat.
Just a couple more minutes and Nate was smiling and ready to think about his next race!
