This year was the 4th annual Kids Dash. The Dr. Tanner challenge was the first event of the day. Adalei decided to enter and challenge her dad in the one mile race.
Nate was the first one across the finish line and the winner for his race.
Adalei ran hard and did a great job. She later ran in the 3rd grade race but I missed her running because she had planned to run with the 4th graders and changed her mind at the last minute. (She finished 3rd grade this year so that was the race she should be included in.)
Here's Adalei with one of the two ribbons she earned.
Isaiah entered the 2-3 year old race and Nate encouraged him every step of the way.
Elijah was in the 4-5 year old race. He ran hard and fast.
Elijah was really proud of his medal.
Brielle ran in the first grader race with her cousin Gemma. They had a fun time.
Brielle took second place in her race.
She was really proud of her medal also.
Here's a picture of me with Nate's family. We all wore The Kids Dash t-shirts from a prior year.
Isaiah's t-shirt was a little big for him.
Brielle also ran in the color race. She went more laps than I could count.
Elijah ran a few laps in the color race.
Adalei ran a lot of laps in the color race.
Even Isaiah did one lap in the color race through the blue color with Misty and Brielle.
Here's Dr. Tanner, the founder of The Kids Dash with his family after the color race.
The final picture includes Misty's two sisters and their children who came from Nevada for the race. We all had a great time and were so glad we could attend. I'm so proud of Nate for his contribution to the community in developing this event. I helped out at the registration desk before the event started and during a couple of the races. It was a successful event this year and continues to grow.
