Visiting my family in Mercersburg and St. Thomas, PA

The visit to my family was less than 24 hours and way too short but we crammed a lot into the day!  It was wonderful to see everyone.  Nate hadn't been there since he was 18 yrs old so the cousins had fun looking at a photo album with pictures from his last visit.
My niece Candice is very talented.  She showed me her art work.  I was impressed by how talented she is.  She gave me one of her drawings that I plan to frame and hang in my craft room.

Venus made the most delicious waffles for breakfast - mine was cherry, chocolate chip, and walnut!  It was great.  Irene, Lance and their family, and my dad came over.  (We took this picture after Lance had left for Bishopric meeting.)
Below, Lindsay and Emma were having fun and wanted their picture taken.
It was fun to go to church where my brother is the Bishop!  Bishop Plessinger is on the left.  My dad is in the middle and my brother Gary (former Bishop) on the right.  Lance is a really good bishop.  He was shaking hands as we left Sacrament meeting.  I felt very welcome.
After church, Gary, Dad and I went to visit my Aunt Fern.  She is in a rest home and seems very lonely.  We only had time to spend about 30 minutes with her.  She is my dad's sister.
Above, a cute kitten from the farm.
Relaxing by the creek and visiting.  This is Lance and Irene's place.  Venus and Irene made a delicious meal - ribs, mashed potatoes, zucchini, rolls, and peach cobbler.  It was so good.
I was really happy that Ami, my sister-in-law, and Merrilee, my niece, took the time to stop by so we could visit.  My brother Dwain was out of town so I didn't get to see him.
 Relaxing and enjoying dinner......
Since I was there last year, Lance built this tree house.  It is awesome.  I had to take some pictures of it.  The girls were so cute!

It was sad to leave but we had a long drive back to Philadelphia.  I'll have to plan another visit next year some time.  It was wonderful!  Nate and I had a great time.  I'm grateful that we could go.

Great posts Mom. I had Malcolm explain to me who everyone was and other odds and ends.
