I went to San Francisco for three days of audit training. Then Charity came down and we spent the rest of the week together.
This was a Nutella and strawberry crepe. It was delicious!!!
Charity and I stayed in a hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. We walked past this bakery everyday.
The first evening (Wednesday) we went to celebrate Charity passing her exam and having more credentials after her name - LPCC Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. We had an awesome view of the bay.
I had a delicious crab and shrimp Louie. Charity had a shrimp sandwich that she had an allergic reaction to. I think she is allergic to shrimp. We didn't eat all of our dinners and didn't have a frig in our hotel room so we got our leftovers to go and left them for homeless people.
Here I am at Pier 39.
Charity at Pier 39.
On Thursday, our first stop on the City Pass was Aquarium of the Bay. It was lovely.
Another aquarium picture with Charity.
Then we took a cruise on the Blue & Gold Fleet.
The cruise started near the Bay Bridge which you can see in the distance with this picture.
Then we sailed to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. It was really chilly and so beautiful. I loved seeing the clouds hang over the bridge.
For lunch we had clam chowder from Pier 39. Yum!
After lunch we went to the California Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park. It was impressive.
More of the Academy of Sciences....
A final picture with the dinosaur at the Academy of Sciences.
For dinner, Charity found this Carmel Pizza place near the wharf. It was unbelievably good! We loved it!
For dessert, we went to Ghiradelli Square and had ice cream cones! Yum!
As Thursday came to an end, we walked back to the hotel after spending some time enjoying the lovely view and the setting sun.
Friday morning we started out at the Legion of Honor. We had this beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge as we were in Golden Gate Park again.
This is the statue of the Thinking Man behind me at the Legion of Honor. I really enjoyed our time here seeing the artwork. Charity and I each bought a picture home to frame.
This is Charity at the back of the Legion of Honor.
Then we started at the De Young Museum with lunch.
This safety pin was one of my favorite parts of the museum. I enjoyed the artwork there also.
We left San Francisco a little after 2 pm and it took until 7 pm to get back to Roseville. I took this picture as we were crossing the Bay Bridge.
I had such a fun time with Charity. The City Pass was fun and the food was great. I got the picture from the Legion of Honor and a San Francisco hot chocolate mug to remind me of the good time I had with my wonderful daughter. I look forward to taking another trip with her next year.
