Salmon River near Lincoln City, Oregon - May 9, 2015

 Jeff took me kayaking on the Salmon River near Lincoln City, Oregon.  This is a baby heron on the beach.

 We kayaked for 6.25 miles.

  We went up the river and then back down to the ocean.

 I was so tired.

 

  A heron on the beach.  We saw sea otters and lots of birds - Canadian geese, seagulls, etc.

The Salmon River empties into the mouth of the Pacific Ocean.  We kayaked to the ocean and then had a picnic lunch on the beach to the left - fried chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, and chips.  We had a good time.

After we got back, I hiked 3.3 miles at Lacamas Lake.
