Caiaphas' House (Old Jerusalem, Israel)

This is the public jail or prison (also called the Sacred Pit) in Old Jerusalem.
This was part of Caiaphas' house and
the place where Jesus was scourged by Pilate and also Caiaphas.
Much of Jesus' suffering took place here in this small underground room.
